Kajol Strongly REACTS To Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’s Remake; Actress Says, ‘Nothing Replicates That Feeling Of Magic’
Bollywood actress Kajol is known for her bubbly on-screen as well as off-screen personality. The actress never shies away from expressing her unabashed opinions and calling spade a spade during her media interactions. With the fad of filmmakers remaking iconic and classic movies, during a recent interview, Kajol shared that the audience will be disappointed if her movies Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G) were to be remade today. 

In an interview with News18, Kajol shared that her iconic movies can never be remade as the magic they once created on-screen, will never be recreated again. She further adds that if one does try and recreate the movies, the magic “just fizzles out and it won’t have the same feel.” She stressed on the fact that the audience will always be disappointed no matter how well the remake has been made. The 48-year-old actress said, “You’ll always be disappointed regardless of how well it is portrayed and done. Magic has a feel to it. Films give you that feel. You feel something when you watch them for the first time and nothing replicates that feeling.” ALSO READ: VIRAL! During her interaction, she also lauded the changing landscape of women in Bollywood. The actress expressed how pleased she was to see that the gender balance is being restored in the Hindi film industry. She went on to add that while the industry has always been a male-dominated space, due to practical reasons, she is delighted to see women rising to the top. The actress added, “That’s the fabulous part of this era.”

On the work front, Kajol was last seen on the big screen alongside Vishal Jethwa in the movie Salaam Venky. Based on the real-life story of Kolavennu Venkatesh and his mother, the movie was directed by Revathy and released on December 9. The actress will next be seen in The Good Wife and Lust Stories 2.
